NaturalWorld
Hershey's chocolate bar, cotton work shirt, bottle of water, glass of water
1. Brainstorm what these have in common.
2. What elements of God's creation must come together to create these commodities?
3. Is their value based on their goodness as gifts of God or is it derived from their perceived use/value to human beings?
Deborah's answers ... 1. They are all man made. Two may be consumed by humans. Ingredients of each of the consumables comes from nature as does the cotton work shirt. The bottle of water is plastic and doesn't decompose naturally. 2. Rain, sun, soil must come together to produce the contents of the consumables and for the cotton to be grown for the shirt 3. Interesting! I believe water is a gift of God since life cannot be sustained without it. The chocolate provides calories and the shirt is protection for the human body. The later two have greater perceived value. Chocolate tastes great but is not nutritional. Technically the human body can exist naked.

I Agree. The Common Connection is the Ground/The Dirt. The Water is Universal it is the Power of Life. Chocolate is Good For the Body, Especially Dark Chocolate. Also the "Bitter and Sweetness" of Life.
The Shirt represents the Covering of the Lord for Adam and Eve. The Continued "Provisions" for His Creation. Not Letting the evil one Provide for them, even after their Disobedience.
